This is one of the many toads who finds his way into the barn. He’s not particularly special in that he’s beautiful or anything…he’s the one that was there when I had the camera.
They burrow into the bedding sometime between when the trees are shredded and when the bedding is put in the barn. I don’t know if they come from the place the bedding comes from or if they make themselves at home after the bedding gets to the barn. However they get in the barn, I, along with the other girls at the barn, find them when we make deliveries to the stalls. Of course, on my way out, I take the time to examine them and poke around on their bellies a little bit.
