Carova – Day 1

Monday morning, we were up about the time the sun came up. Tony and I went down to the beach to take some pictures.

Some people were already driving the beach, even though we were out not much past high tide.

Later in the afternoon, we went for a walk. Our house was about a mile from the Virginia border, so we walked across the line and found this sign. The park (on the Virginia side) doesn’t allow people to drive on the beach (except a few people who were grandfathered in). It seemed strange that they left the sign up, though.

I went out later in the afternoon as the sun was going down to take more pictures. Just as I walked out the door, this airplane flew by. Fortunately, the camera had already been unpacked, so I didn’t miss much.

As always, there are more pictures here.
