I’d usually say “my motorcycle,” but what prompted this entry was my ride last night…which was not on my motorcycle (mine is having issues, so I borrowed Tony’s).
I don’t ride to Goochland because I don’t have the time to stop and get warm if I need to. I haven’t been riding to Piedmont because it’s been raining or threatening to rain for the last several weeks. Anyway, last night was pretty nice – it was supposed to be a little cold, but clear, so I told Tony I was taking his bike. Riding to school was less pleasant because I spent a lot of the trip riding into the sun. The trip home, however, was amazing. It was crisp, the sky was clear (the moon and stars were out and they were beautiful), and there’s just something about a ride (especially when it’s been a while) that is really satisfying.
So, today, I’m thankful for motorcycles and the chance to ride them.
